Importance of emotional intelligence



The capability of individuals to discern their own as well as others emotions , to find out among various feelings , to manage , control and adjust emotions is known as emotional intelligence . Emotional intelligence allows one to deal with ability of self- awareness , self – management , motivation ,empathy and social skills . A manager that is capable and possess emotional intelligence can easily identify and comprehend his emotions and reactions

 Furthermore a good leader could manage , control and adapt reactions and emotions . Emotional intelligence helps the leaders to motivate themselves to achieve the goals by working hard , along with this it also helps to find out the feelings and emotions of others which further are used for positive outcomes .


Relationships are build up and conflicts are negotiated due to presence of emotional intelligence . Moreover higher the level of emotional intelligence happier is the life of the leader as the higher EQ consequently results in positive attitude . Managers with higher EQ results in workplace satisfaction and higher performance is encouraged by it too . According to a survey , 90% of the top performers are present with high Emotional intelligence.
